Thought Leader Life with Robert Galinsky (@robertgalinsky) #006

In this episode of Thought Leader Life, Michael and I hang out with acclaimed writer and social media connector Robert Galinsky. Described by Michael as the most interesting and lively discussion they’ve had so far (at the time) on Google Hangout, the interview revolves around Robert’s journey in thought leadership and how coffee has found him and made him a sought-after corporate speaker.

Sporting his trademark red glasses, Robert talks about his life and work as he celebrates 25 years of living in New York with success after success in creating advocates and becoming a thought leader. Robert finds other creative vehicles to put his messages across, including his popular live events; an NY musical play entitled Coffee, the Musical he’s striving to create; and a book entitled Coffee Crazy, a collection of tweet-sized quotes about coffee. In the interview, Robert says the “>thought leadership funnel had helped him clarify the trail by which he found his passion: turning future advocates into advocates by instilling a sense of ownership. Robert also expounds on his famous line “double-click” and explains why “double-clicking” yourself will spell success for you and your work.

While enjoying our cups of coffee, Michael, Robert, and I discuss the logic of making coffee the central message, the main product of Robert’s thought leadership. Coffee is the universal drink and people are passionate about their coffee as much as they are passionate about friends, the people they love, or their career. Robert gives a sneak peak of the making Coffee Crazy and how THiNKaha and I made it possible for him to publish a book that Robert calls “the most powerful business card he ever had.”

Finally, in this one-of-a-kind interview, Robert reveals the story behind his trademark red sunglasses. If you want to hear the story, watch the video below!

Here are a few “‘aha’ moments” from the episode. See more in the upcoming book, soon to be a part of the THiNKaha app-only book series and watch the interview below!
